Course Overview

Located in the peaceful countryside between the historic towns of Artà and Capdepera on the north-east coast of Mallorca, Capdepera Golf is a scenic 18-hole course that offers one of the island’s most tranquil and natural golfing experiences. Opened in 1989 and designed by renowned American architect Dan Maples, the par-72 layout measures just under 5,900 metres from the back tees and sits within a dramatic landscape framed by the Llevant mountains with distant views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The course blends naturally into the surrounding countryside and is divided into two distinct sections. The opening holes play across relatively gentle terrain in a broad valley that was once an almond plantation, with wide fairways and subtle doglegs encouraging confident play from the tee. However, strategically placed bunkers, several lakes and large raised greens demand accuracy on approach and a steady short game to score well.

The character of the round changes dramatically on the closing stretch, where the course climbs into the hills of the Llevant mountains. Here the fairways become narrower and more undulating, creating a more demanding and visually striking test of golf. The standout hole is the spectacular par-3 15th, perched high in the hills with panoramic views across the valley and out towards the coastline, frequently voted one of the most beautiful holes on the island.
