Course Overview

Located in the north-east of Mallorca between Son Servera and the coastal resort of Cala Millor, Pula Golf is one of the island’s most established championship venues. Originally opened in 1995, the course underwent a significant redesign between 2004 and 2006 by two-time Masters champion José María Olazábal, transforming it into a modern tournament layout capable of hosting top-level professional events. Today the 18-hole course plays as a par-72 stretching approximately 6,885 yards from the back tees and has hosted several European Tour events, including the Mallorca Classic.

Pula Golf offers a spacious parkland-style layout set against a backdrop of rolling countryside and distant mountain views. Wide fairways provide generous landing areas from the tee, but the course’s strategic design, elevated greens and well-placed hazards ensure that accuracy and careful shot selection remain essential throughout the round. Water hazards influence play on several holes, while subtle undulations on the greens demand a confident short game to score well.

A distinctive feature of the course is its clear sightlines, with the green visible from the tee on 14 of the 18 holes, creating an inviting and open feel while still presenting a strategic challenge. Memorable moments include the early par-3 2nd, played over a natural valley to a raised green, and the demanding finishing stretch which culminates with a long par-3 18th, an unusual but memorable closing hole that requires a precise approach to avoid the surrounding bunkers.

With its championship pedigree, thoughtful redesign by Olazábal and reputation for hosting high-level tournaments, Pula Golf has firmly established itself as one of Mallorca’s premier golf courses. Combining a fair but testing layout with the natural beauty of the island’s eastern countryside, it provides an enjoyable and rewarding challenge for golfers of all abilities.
