Club de Golf Son Servera
Course Overview
Set in the tranquil coastal area of Costa de los Pinos on the north-east coast of Mallorca, Club de Golf Son Servera is one of the island’s most charming and historic golf venues. Founded in 1967, it is the second-oldest golf club on the island and began life as a 9-hole layout designed by John Harris, before being expanded to a full 18-hole, par-72 course in 2012 by Francisco López Segalés. Nestled beneath pine-covered hills with sweeping views across the Bay of Cala Millor, the course combines classic Mediterranean scenery with a relaxed members’ club atmosphere that makes it particularly welcoming for visiting golfers.
The layout measures just over 6,000 metres from the back tees and winds through gently undulating terrain framed by pines, olive, oak, carob and palm trees. While the fairways are generally generous, the surrounding woodland and cleverly positioned hazards demand accuracy and careful course management. Water hazards feature on six holes, and the subtly contoured greens place a premium on a confident short game.
One of the course’s most memorable features is the stretch from the 3rd to the 7th holes, famously known as the “Pine Trap”. Here the fairways tighten considerably as the course winds through dense pine woodland, with elevation changes, lakes and strategically placed trees creating a demanding but visually striking section of golf. The back nine then opens out slightly, offering wider playing corridors and panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and coastline.
Combining scenic beauty, thoughtful design and a welcoming club atmosphere, Club de Golf Son Servera provides a rewarding and enjoyable round for golfers of all abilities. With views of both the mountains and the Mediterranean, it remains one of the most characterful and authentic golfing experiences on Mallorca.
