T-Golf Calvia - Mallorca

Course Overview

Located just a short drive from Palma in the southwest of Mallorca, T-Golf Calvià is one of the island’s most distinctive and character-filled golf courses. Originally opened in 1978 as Golf Poniente and extensively redesigned by Casper Grauballe in 2015, the course is now a superb 18-hole, par-72 layout measuring around 6,500 metres from the back tees. Set among the wooded foothills of the Tramuntana mountains, it offers a peaceful, secluded setting while remaining close to many of Mallorca’s main resorts.

Rather than relying on length alone, T-Golf Calvià is known for its strategic layout and beautifully maintained playing surfaces. Towering mature pine trees line many of the fairways, creating narrow driving corridors that reward accuracy from the tee. The course flows naturally through gently undulating terrain, with several doglegs, well-placed bunkers and subtle elevation changes encouraging thoughtful course management throughout the round.

One of the defining features of the course is its large, fast greens, which are widely regarded as among the best on the island. Their size and subtle movement mean approach shots must be carefully positioned to leave realistic birdie chances, placing added importance on a sharp short game.

Memorable holes are found throughout the layout. The long par-5 4th presents an early risk-and-reward opportunity, while the scenic par-3 8th plays across a valley framed by tall pines. Later in the round, the demanding par-4 15th requires both accuracy and nerve from the tee before the closing holes guide players back towards the impressive clubhouse terrace.

T-Golf Calvià has also established itself as a respected tournament venue, regularly hosting professional and elite amateur events, including tournaments on the Challenge Tour and other international competitions. Combined with immaculate conditioning and a mature parkland setting, it provides a thoroughly enjoyable and competitive test of golf, making it one of Mallorca’s most rewarding courses to play.
