Rio Real Golf Club is one of Marbella’s most established courses, located just minutes from the city centre and designed by Javier Arana, regarded as one of Spain’s finest golf architects. Opened in 1965, the course blends seamlessly into the natural landscape, offering a scenic and strategic round along the Rio Real River, which winds through several key holes.
The layout features gently undulating fairways, mature pine and palm trees, and well-protected greens. While not overly long by modern standards, the course places a premium on accuracy and shot placement, rewarding thoughtful play over raw power.
