Course Overview
Located in the heart of the Mijas Golf Valley on Spain’s Costa del Sol, Santana Golf & Country Club is a beautifully maintained 18-hole, par-72 course that blends parkland character with a Mediterranean setting. Designed by Cabell B. Robinson and opened in 2004, the course is set on a former avocado plantation, offering wide, tree-lined fairways and unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.
The layout stretches just over 6,200 metres from the back tees and features gently rolling terrain, well-positioned bunkers, and large, subtly contoured greens. While accessible to mid- and high-handicap players thanks to its generous fairways, the course provides enough strategic complexity to challenge more experienced golfers. Water comes into play on several holes, adding visual appeal without overwhelming the design.
With no residential development on the course, Santana offers a peaceful and focused playing environment. Known for its friendly service, excellent year-round conditions, and walkable design, it is a favourite among both visiting golfers and local players looking for a high-quality yet relaxed golf experience.
