Course Overview

Set among the pine forests and rolling sand hills of Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, Carya Golf Club has established itself as one of the premier golfing destinations in Belek. Opened in 2008 and designed by the acclaimed golf course architecture firm Thomson Perrett & Lobb, founded by five-time Open Champion Peter Thomson, the course is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout measuring approximately 6,570 metres from the back tees. Set among mature pine forests and rolling sandy terrain close to the Mediterranean Sea, Carya combines a traditional heathland style with modern championship conditioning.

Unlike many golf courses in Belek, Carya was inspired by the classic heathland layouts of England, with fairways framed by heather, rugged bunkering and natural pine and eucalyptus woodland. The course flows across gently undulating terrain with wide landing areas that gradually tighten towards the greens, rewarding strategic positioning and precise approach play rather than simple power from the tee. Fast, subtly contoured greens place further emphasis on accuracy and a confident short game throughout the round.

Carya Golf Club has also established itself as one of the leading tournament venues in Turkey, having hosted multiple editions of the Turkish Airlines Open on the DP World Tour. Many of the world’s top players have competed at the course, helping cement Belek’s reputation as one of Europe’s premier golf destinations.

One of the club’s defining features is its famous floodlighting system, making Carya the first fully floodlit 18-hole golf course in Europe. Combined with outstanding conditioning, a unique heathland character and strong tournament pedigree, Carya Golf Club remains one of the most memorable and highly regarded golf courses in Turkey.
